The beaches of North Devon are World Class. We have all types of beaches to suit everyone and every activity.
The beaches of Croyde, Saunton, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! are favourites of watersports enthusiasts. Surfers, kite-surfers and kayakers come from across the country to experience the powerful Atlantic waves. These long sandy beaches also provide plenty of space for families or for those just wanting to lie back, relax and enjoy the sunshine!
Our shingle beaches in Clovelly, Lynmouth, Lee and Ilfracombe are truly stunning and most have stories of pirates and smugglers linked to them. They also provide great rock pools for children of all ages to explore with fishing nets, buckets and crab-lines.
The dramatic coastline along the Hartland Peninsula creates wonderful cliff-top walks, rugged rock formations and stunning waterfalls.
Whichever you type of beach you choose, you won't fail to be impressed by the sheer beauty and diversity of our coastline.
