Holsworthy is an historic market town with hundreds of years of history and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is situated amidst the rolling green hills of Tarka Country in North Devon.
There are many natural attractions within a short distance icluding the rugged cliffs of the Hartland Peninsula, sandy beaches at Bude and nearby Widemouth Bay, the South West Coastal Path, and fishing and boating on the Tamar and Roadford Lakes.
Holsworthy is an ideal central base for visiting the main attractions of Devon and Cornwall and for discovering Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor. 'Ruby Country', a new initiative underway to provide walking, cycling and horse riding trails, will offer the more active visitors the opportunity to enjoy the charming countryside and its culture, heritage and local food and drink.
From Barnstaple, take the A39 to Bideford and then the A388 to Holsworthy.
