Brewery at the BIG Sheep

Country Life Brewery was established in 1998, using the brew plant from Lundy Island and moved to the BIG Sheep family attraction in 2002. The working brewery, which is run by master brewer, Simon Lacy and his wife Anna is North Devon's largest brewery, producing over 15,000 pints of award winning ales every week.

The Brewery combines state-of-the-art equipment with traditional brewing techniques which ensures that there is a consistency of product and the beers produced are amongst the very best real ales brewed in the UK today.

As well as supplying ales to pubs, hotels and clubs across the South West the Brewery shop is open to visitors to the attraction and sells bottles of Ales and various ciders. Take out "Kegs" of ales and beer is available in 18, 36 and 72 pints and is great for barbeques, wedding and family parties and delivery can be arranged by prior arrangement.
Before sampling the award winning beers to find their favourite, visitors can discover how the ale is brewed using traditional brewing techniques in our fun brewery show.
Award winning beer available from the brewery include:

" OLD APPLEDORE ALE - 3.7% abv (alcohol by volume)
" LACEY'S BEST ALE - 4.2% abv
" POT WALLOP - 4.4% abv
